What Firstly does
Your history, summarized
A plain-language summary of your medical history, short enough to read in the waiting room. It stays current as new records come in.
Questions drafted from your records
Tell the chat what the visit is for, and it helps you put your questions in writing, with the results worth bringing. A second check holds each answer up against the evidence before you take it into the exam room.
Lab results over time
Each result becomes a point you can follow over time, explained in plain words. You'll know what changed since the last visit.
Your medicines, and a reminder to bring them
Firstly lists your medicines from your records, including pharmacy fill data where it exists. Set a reminder in ordinary words: “remind me Wednesday night to bring my pill bottles.”
What makes Firstly different
Many portals, one summary
Each hospital's portal shows its own results, and an old one may be a login you no longer have. Firstly brings records from many hospitals, clinics and labs into one summary you can read before you go.
Questions that start from your results
Ask ChatGPT, Claude or Grok what to raise at a visit without giving it your records, and it has to rely on what you remember. Firstly drafts questions from your own results and history.
Set up once, ready for every visit
Your history keeps updating as new records arrive, so the next appointment starts where this one left off. The same membership covers every visit after this one.
Who uses Firstly

The team behind Firstly
Firstly comes out of Triangle (Triangle Health, Inc.), a Pasadena, California company co-founded by Jonathan Grubb, Justin Balthrop and CEO Arun Verma, formerly of Atoms and Shopify. Arun started Triangle after a brain tumor diagnosis in 2023 left him doing his research and record-keeping by hand. Firstly turns that work into something anyone can use before an appointment.

Frequently asked questions
Is Firstly an app from my doctor's office?
No. Firstly is built by Triangle, where your account and records live, and it turns those records into a summary and a set of questions before an appointment.
What does Firstly cost if I only see doctors now and then?
After a 7-day free trial, Firstly is $9 a month. The trial needs a card on file, and you can cancel at any point after.
Does Firstly replace my doctor's advice?
No. Firstly helps you prepare, and your doctor makes the medical decisions with you. Firstly's job is research and educational support; it never diagnoses you, treats you or writes a prescription, and neither does Triangle.
Can I prep with ChatGPT, Claude or Grok through Firstly?
Yes. Connect your assistant to Triangle over MCP with https://app.trianglehealth.com/mcp, then choose what it can read before you accept. Before your next visit, trianglehealth.com/agents can walk you through the setup for your assistant.
Who can see the summary Firstly makes?
Whoever you invite to your profile, and no one else. Firstly runs on Triangle, which is HIPAA compliant and encrypts records both at rest and in transit, and your data isn't sold or passed on for advertising.
My visit is on Thursday. Can Firstly be ready by then?
Start with what you have: upload recent results or visit notes during setup and ask about them. Triangle can't promise when network records will arrive, so bring what you already have to this visit, and the history fills in for the next.
Can I use it for someone I'm taking to an appointment?
Yes. Firstly can hold a profile for someone you look after, such as a parent, and their questions get prepared the same way.
Can someone coming with me see it?
Yes, if you share it. Give a family member coming along, or the doctor, access to your profile, and choose who can see it.
